Yes. Under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and the Landlord and Tenant Act, employers and landlords have a legal duty to ensure all electrical equipment is maintained in a safe condition. PAT testing is the recognised way to demonstrate compliance.

The frequency depends on the environment. Construction sites should test every 3 months, offices and shops annually, and lower-risk environments (like hotels or schools) every 1–4 years. We can advise the best schedule for your setting.

Any portable electrical item that plugs in — kettles, computers, monitors, power tools, extension leads, fans, microwaves, printers, and more. Fixed appliances like ovens or boilers require a separate EICR inspection.

We work as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption. We also offer out-of-hours testing on evenings and weekends (at an additional cost), so you never have to pause normal operations.

Yes. Every job comes with an insurance-approved PAT test certificate and a full digital asset register listing every appliance, its location, and test result. Certificates are provided the same day as testing.
